Fun & Development Never Stops With SCOR!
SCOR INDOOR PROGRAM
Developing Players From the Inside Out
Dear SCOR Parents,
The end of the outdoor season is fast approaching but the need to continue to develop ball skills, mobility, fitness and game insight continues. SCOR has much to offer over the winter!!! We are providing an exciting program with intent to provide our players with the best opportunity to continue to develop their ball skills over the winter. SCOR's curriculum and Team Excel’s highly qualified professional coaching staff will assure a winter season of fun, excitement and learning opportunities.
We highly encourage our players to participate in SCOR's Winter Indoor Soccer Program. We are offering 2 sessions over the winter that will provide an environment best suited for 'Game-Ready' individual ball skill development in our more enthusiastic players.
For the first time we are offering an indoor program at 2 locations. Both venues provide a surface conducive to appropriate ball skill development. Wooster School provides a hard court surface and the Danbury Sports Dome offers the artificial turf surface. Whether your child is slotted for one or the other, we are confident that the playing and development environment is optimal.
What is 'Game-Ready'?
SCOR's player development philosophy endorses the concept that players develop best in a game realistic environment. Players who want to compete down the stretch when it really counts need to be placed in an age appropriate and game realistic environment as soon as possible. With hard work, patience and an organized 'chaotic' play environment, the development of players' Game-Ready skills and insight to the game of soccer will improve. That is our focus!!!!
We hope you consider SCOR's Indoor Soccer Program. Space is limited and to guarantee a quality environment, we will not over crowd our groups. First come, first serve … REGISTER NOW!
Program Outline for High School Players:
Every week, attending players will be placed in 2 balanced teams and play a scrimmage for the entire hour. To assure a quality program space is limited to a maximum of 16 players.
Program Outline for Players in Travel U13 through U14:
Every week, we will focus on executing one's skills within intense and competitive small sided activities and game. 'Speed of Play' will be the common directive our professional coaches will be demanding from the players throughout the winter sessions. The last 30 minutes of each hour of play will be used to play small sided scrimmages. To assure a quality program space is limited to a maximum of 16 players per group.
Program Outline for Players in Academy III (U9), U10 Travel through U12:
Every week, we will focus on 2 to 3 specific individual balls skills including passing and trapping and then without much delay within each hour of play, provide a realistic environment for the players to use those acquired ball skills. The last 30 minutes of each hour of play will be used to play small sided scrimmages. To assure a quality program space is limited to a maximum of 16 players per group.
As you know, the game of soccer is a free-flowing game that demands players to have the abilities to think, move and play within milliseconds, without much outside intervention. Now is the time to teach within an environment that will allow our players to excel later on when it really counts. The assigned Team Excel Soccer professional coaches are well suited and qualified to instruct our youngest players in a way that will best cater to their development as future soccer players. Players will be introduced to level appropriate activities with the goal to improve ball skills, trapping, passing, shooting and spacial awareness.
